Ski areas and terrain

Sitnyakovo

Lower resort and forest skiing, including learning terrain and a range of blue, red and black pistes near the village.

Yastrebets

Reached by gondola; a good choice for longer mountain runs and more confident skiers.

Markudjik

Higher open terrain approaching 2,560 m; check the lift and piste status on windy or snowy days.

Piste difficulty: Sitnyakovo is a practical place to look for learning areas and shorter pistes near the village. Yastrebets offers longer red and black runs, while the exposed Markudjik sector includes high-altitude terrain whose operation is more dependent on weather. Choose a lesson meeting point and lift access before leaving your hotel.

Planning your arrival: Ask whether your hotel is near the gondola or the Sitnyakovo side of Borovets, especially when carrying skis on arrival.
