About skiing in Cortina d’Ampezzo
Cortina’s main skiing is spread across Tofana–Ra Valles, Faloria–Cristallo and Lagazuoi–5 Torri. The roughly 120 km figure includes San Vito and Auronzo–Misurina; it does not mean every piste begins at the centre of Cortina. Check which sector is closest to your hotel and whether a ski bus is needed.
Ski areas and terrain
Tofana–Ra Valles
A large area accessed around Socrepes, Pié Tofana and the Freccia nel Cielo. It includes family terrain and more demanding descents.
Faloria–Cristallo
A separate sector reached from Cortina and Rio Gere, with a mix of blue, red and black runs.
Lagazuoi–5 Torri
Scenic skiing around Cinque Torri and Falzarego; check the Skyline connection or ski-bus arrangements for your date.
Piste difficulty: The official area guide lists 20 blue, 10 red and 5 black slopes in the Tofana area, and 2 blue, 8 red and 5 black in Faloria–Cristallo. These are sector counts, not a resort-wide total. Beginners should look at the easier slopes around Socrepes; advanced skiers can explore steeper Tofana and Faloria runs.
Planning your arrival: A coach stop in Cortina town may still leave a local journey to the lift or your accommodation. Ask your hotel which ski-bus stop serves it.
