ABOUT AIRPORTSKI

About AirportSki

AirportSki is a travel-information website for planning journeys from airports to ski resorts. We bring public transport, private transfers and rental-car options into one practical guide, so you can choose a journey that fits your flight, luggage and accommodation.

THE JOURNEY AFTER LANDING

A clearer plan for your ski holiday

Booking a flight is only the start of a mountain trip. The nearest airport may have a difficult onward connection, a train can stop in the valley below the resort, and a bus ticket may end several kilometres from your hotel. Ski bags, children, evening arrivals and winter weather make those details matter.

AirportSki helps you compare the complete airport-to-resort journey. Our guides explain where to start, which connections to check and how to reach the right village or ski base. The aim is to make the last part of your trip easier to understand before you book transport.

Our published coverage starts with European ski regions, including the Alps, the Pyrenees and Bulgaria. We are building the resource for ski destinations around the world. The airport directory and ski resort directory show the destinations currently covered.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND

Travel guides built around the details that matter

AIRPORT GUIDES

Start with your arrival airport

Find the airport’s IATA code, terminal and ground-transport notes, nearby ski destinations and approximate road distances. Follow the route links to compare your onward journey, or search for flights that leave enough time for a useful connection.

ROUTE GUIDES

Compare ways to reach the resort

Explore available buses, trains, coaches, private transfers and rental-car options. Route pages include planning time ranges, changes, operator links, road directions and the final hotel connection. The options differ by route; a railway station is not always the ski base.

RESORT GUIDES

Choose the right mountain base

Understand the main ski sectors, altitude, terrain and piste information, with links to official resort resources. Compare covered airport approaches and check the exact village where you are staying. A large ski domain can contain several separate road destinations.

FROM FLIGHT TO HOTEL

How to plan your airport-to-ski-resort journey

  1. Choose the exact resort village. Check the accommodation address and nearest station, bus stop or lift base. Names such as Val di Fassa or Grandvalira cover more than one arrival point.
  2. Compare the complete itinerary. Include the airport-to-station leg, interchanges, waiting and the final local ride. A short driving distance does not guarantee a simple public-transport connection.
  3. Match transport to your flight. Check operating dates, the last departure and ski-bag rules. A seasonal ski coach may run only on selected days, and a late landing can require a different plan.
  4. Confirm before booking. Use the operator’s current timetable or quote, check the meeting point and leave a winter travel buffer. Save destinations in My favourites while comparing your shortlist.
OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH

Useful information with its limits made clear

We prepare route guides using airport, transport-operator, resort and tourism-board information. Where relevant, we link to the source or journey planner so you can check a service directly. We focus on the practical connection: departure points, changes, seasonal operation and the last mile to your accommodation.

Road distances and travel times are approximate planning estimates. They are not live traffic results or a promise that every departure takes the same time. Route pages show a review date, but operators can change timetables, fares and pickup points after a guide is reviewed. Check the current details for your travel date, especially for winter shuttles and late arrivals.

Resort information distinguishes a local ski area from a wider linked network or pass product where that distinction affects the figures. Open pistes, lifts and mountain roads depend on the season and conditions. Official piste maps and operator updates are the best final check for your trip.

Some images are illustrative winter scenes rather than documentary photographs of a particular resort or transfer route. They help show the setting; maps, accommodation addresses and operator instructions should guide the actual journey.

BOOKING AND PARTNERSHIPS

How AirportSki connects you with transport

AirportSki provides travel guides and access to booking or enquiry tools. We do not operate the buses, trains or transfer vehicles described in our guides. Your transport provider confirms availability, the final price, pickup arrangements and booking terms.

Our transfer and flight tools can be provided by affiliate services. AirportSki may earn a commission when you make an eligible booking through these services, at no additional cost to you. A widget’s availability and prices come from the booking provider.

Transfer companies can also purchase an exclusive annual placement for an airport. While that placement is active, the company’s card and enquiry form replace our transfer form on the airport page and all published route pages from that airport. An enquiry is sent directly to the featured company, which responds with availability and a quote. Sending the form is a request, not a confirmed transport booking.

A paid placement identifies the featured company; it does not mean AirportSki has compared every provider or guarantees that company’s service. The informational guide continues to describe the available transport options. Companies can read the placement details on our page for transfer companies.

QUICK ANSWERS

Questions about AirportSki

Is AirportSki a transfer company?

No. AirportSki is a travel-information website. Transport is provided by the operator you choose or the featured company that responds to your enquiry.

Can I use the guides without booking a private transfer?

Yes. The guides compare public transport, road options and private transfers where available. You can use them to plan a bus, train or rental-car journey and check the operator directly.

Do travel times include every part of the journey?

Use the notes beside each estimate. Add airport formalities, baggage collection and any waiting or hotel connection not included in that range. Check the full timetable rather than relying on a single intercity journey time.

How do I report an outdated connection?

Email hello@airportski.com with the page address, the detail that has changed and an official source if available. Please contact your transport provider directly about an existing booking.

Read our Privacy Policy for information about enquiry forms, favourites and optional external maps and booking tools.
