At the airport
The Mountain Rides airport service is reached outside baggage claim. Check its current stop list and timetable. Resort lodging guests should confirm any courtesy pickup with bell service before travel.
Flying into Friedman Memorial Airport for a ski holiday
Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) is in Hailey, Idaho, south of Ketchum and Sun Valley. It is the local commercial arrival point for Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain, which have different bases and lesson meeting points. Mountain Rides publishes an airport shuttle serving Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley, while Sun Valley Resort offers transport for eligible lodging guests by arrangement. An airport shuttle to the village is not necessarily a drop-off at the chairlift or your private rental. Choose the accommodation first, then check the nearest stop and onward bus. Weather can change arrival plans, so keep a flexible pickup arrangement and verify what happens if your flight is delayed or diverted. When choosing an arrival time, you can compare flights to Friedman Memorial Airport and check whether it leaves enough time for the last coach or train into the mountains.
Winter travel
Allow for winter weather in the Wood River Valley and confirm any flight-disruption pickup policy. Bald Mountain and Dollar Mountain are separate destinations.
