Flying into Kuusamo Airport for a ski holiday
Kuusamo Airport (KAO) serves Ruka and several northeastern Finnish ski destinations. Ruka village and Ruka Valley have different airport-bus stops; Salla continues north, while Iso-Syöte is southwest and needs another transport plan. A bus advertised for Ruka does not cover every resort reachable from Kuusamo. The airport is separate from Kuusamo town, so include that connection when using an intercity bus.
