Los Angeles International Airport to ski resorts

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is on the coast west of central Los Angeles. FlyAway to Union Station is a useful first leg for Metrolink toward San Bernardino. It is not a through ticket to Big Bear. Terminal pickup locations can change with airport construction, so use the current LAX transport map. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are separate bases, and Mountain High is near Wrightwood rather than Big Bear Lake. For a ski holiday, compare the whole journey rather than the flight price alone. Collecting oversized ski bags, changing terminals or reaching a city departure point can add time before the mountain leg starts. Give a booked driver the exact resort base and accommodation address, and confirm space for skis and child seats where needed. For an evening arrival, check the last usable onward service and hotel check-in before buying separate tickets.
