ARRIVAL CHECKLISTBefore leaving Sarajevo International Airport
Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) is southwest of Sarajevo and is a convenient road gateway to the Olympic mountain areas of Jahorina, Bjelašnica and Igman. The airport’s Centrotrans coach connects with city stops toward Baščaršija/Bentbaša; it does not take passengers straight to the ski bases. Jahorina uses the eastern mountain approach, while Bjelašnica’s Babin do and Igman’s Veliko Polje or Malo Polje require different destinations. There is no airport train to the ski areas. Dated winter buses and reserved shuttles may be useful, but a direct road pickup can avoid a city detour. Ask the accommodation for its precise reception or chalet address.
- Confirm the named ski base, operating day and return bus separately. Fog, snow and peak-day mountain traffic can lengthen the journey even when the road distance looks short.
- Confirm the terminal, hotel address and ski luggage before booking.
- Keep enough time between landing and a fixed onward departure.
