About skiing in Alta Badia
Alta Badia spans several villages, including Corvara, Colfosco, La Villa, San Cassiano and Badia. Its local piste network is separate from the wider Dolomiti Superski total. The area is well suited to choosing a base around your preferred lift, with options for local cruising and longer linked ski journeys.
Ski areas and terrain
Corvara and Colfosco
Lift bases for local skiing and links toward the Sella circuit.
La Villa and Piz La Ila
Access near the demanding Gran Risa race slope.
San Cassiano, Piz Sorega and Badia
Other valley bases with different accommodation and lift approaches.
Piste difficulty: The large blue-piste share gives many easier choices, while Gran Risa and other black runs require advanced ability. Beginners should choose the school’s designated learning zone. Sellaronda links require the appropriate pass, suitable ability and enough time for the return.
Planning your arrival: Corvara, Colfosco, La Villa and San Cassiano are separate destinations. Confirm the hotel stop and local pickup, especially if the property lies above the main valley road.
