About skiing in Ax 3 Domaines

Ax 3 Domaines combines Bonascre, Saquet and Campels above Ax-les-Thermes. Bonascre is the ski accommodation plateau, while the town railway station is lower in the valley. The Baou gondola provides a useful town-to-plateau link during operation, making the choice of lodging base important for both arrival and ski mornings.

MARKED PISTES80 km across 38 pistes according to the resort
ALTITUDEPistes around 1,400–2,400 m; Ax town is below the ski plateau

Ski areas and terrain

Bonascre

Ski base and teaching area above the town.

Saquet

Higher sector accessed within the lift network.

Campels

Another mountain sector with more exposed terrain and a distinct return plan.

Piste difficulty: The resort has learning terrain in its Evolution area along with intermediate and demanding marked runs higher on the mountain. Beginners should stay in appropriate terrain rather than treating all three sectors as an introductory circuit. Check open lifts and the final gondola if returning to town.

Planning your arrival: Ax-les-Thermes town and Bonascre accommodation are separate arrivals. Confirm the walk from the station to the gondola, its luggage rules and the last uplift; reserve a road taxi after closing.
