About skiing in Blacktail Mountain

Blacktail Mountain is above Lakeside on the western side of Flathead Lake. Unusually, the lodge and road arrival are at the top of the ski area: visitors ski down from the arrival level. It is a separate destination from Whitefish and needs Blacktail Road rather than the Whitefish mountain bus. Choose lodging and rental collection around your planned first-day terrain. Review the official trail map and open lifts before setting a meeting point; published totals describe the resort inventory rather than guaranteed daily availability.
