About skiing in Cerkno

Cerkno’s ski centre sits above the town, so a regional bus arrival still leaves a mountain connection. Town hotels and ski-side accommodation need different drop-offs and daily transport. Choose the lesson base, rental and hotel shuttle together before reserving the airport journey. A direct road transfer can simplify a trip with skis when the dated bus chain is not useful.

Ski areas and terrain

Cerkno town

Regional bus arrival below the mountain.

Ski-centre base

Exact hotel or lift entrance needs a separate road connection.

Forest ski sectors

Choose suitable marked pistes and current open links.

Piste difficulty: Learning facilities and marked routes of different difficulty provide several choices. Check the actual open map and lift status for the date. Forest terrain does not mean every piste is introductory, and a summer access route may be unsuitable for a winter arrival.

Planning your arrival: Distinguish Cerkno town from the ski centre above it. Book the hotel or mountain base explicitly and confirm any shuttle before arrival.
