About skiing in Dachstein West

Dachstein West combines the linked Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg core with broader ski-region products. The advertised regional total should not be read as one village’s pistes. Gosau is a useful arrival base from the Salzkammergut rail corridor, while the other villages need different final buses. Choose the lodging, first lift and pass scope together before reserving the airport connection.

Ski areas and terrain

Gosau

Chosen arrival base with its own lift and lodging stops.

Russbach / Annaberg

Other core villages with different road approaches.

Wider regional product

Check pass scope rather than assuming every area is linked.

Piste difficulty: Family learning areas and intermediate circuits coexist with steeper marked terrain. The longer Dachstein Tour needs open links, a suitable pass and a return plan. Separate regional areas may require road transport.

Planning your arrival: This itinerary uses Gosau. Russbach and Annaberg are different road arrivals; tell the operator the actual village and lift-side property.
