About skiing in Gourette

Gourette is an Ossau Valley ski village surrounded by steep Pyrenean scenery. The beginner zone and upper mountain sectors are different propositions: choose the lesson location rather than simply the nearest visible lift. A stay at Gourette removes the daily climb from Laruns but still needs a precise accommodation drop-off.

Ski areas and terrain

Bézou

Dedicated beginner terrain and lesson access.

Cotch

Varied red-run skiing below the surrounding rock walls.

Pène Blanque

Higher terrain; check weather and the descent options before ascending.

Piste difficulty: Bézou is the gentler learning choice. Cotch’s red terrain and the higher Pène Blanque routes suit progression; Edelweiss is a black-run option for stronger skiers.

Planning your arrival: Confirm the Gourette arrival stop and the walk to the property. Lodging lower in Eaux-Bonnes or Laruns needs a separate daily ski-base journey.
