About skiing in Gstaad

Gstaad’s holiday region contains several ski bases around Gstaad, Saanen, Schönried and Saanenmöser. The regional piste total includes different mountains rather than one ski circuit. Glacier 3000 has another road approach and should be checked against the selected pass. Choose the village, nearby lifts and daily transport together before booking the airport journey.

MARKED PISTESAround 200 km across the holiday region; not one continuously linked domain
ALTITUDESeveral village mountains; Glacier 3000 is a separate high-altitude excursion

Ski areas and terrain

Gstaad / local mountains

Convenient choices depend on the lodging side of the village.

Schönried / Saanenmöser

Different rail arrivals and a separate mountain access.

Glacier 3000

Separate destination and product conditions; check road and lift operation.

Piste difficulty: Family learning slopes and intermediate terrain coexist with more demanding routes in the wider region. A pass covering several mountains does not remove the need for local transport. Match lessons to the actual ski base and check lift hours before a multi-area day.

Planning your arrival: Gstaad station, Saanen, Schönried and Saanenmöser are different village arrivals. Choose the lodging station and a local pickup.
