About skiing in Hemsedal
Hemsedal’s ski centre lies outside the village and offers terrain across several mountain peaks. Lodges beside the lower lifts provide a different arrival from valley accommodation or hillside cabins. A coach to Hemsedal centre may therefore need a local ski-centre connection. Choose where lessons and rental collection happen before reserving transport.
Ski areas and terrain
Lower ski centre
Children’s areas, lodges and main service base.
Upper peaks
Longer marked outings with weather-dependent lift access.
Valley accommodation
Local ski transport may be needed for each day on the mountain.
Piste difficulty: The main children’s learning area is at the bottom of the ski system, while upper terrain offers intermediate and steeper outings. Weather can affect high lifts, and a summit trip needs an appropriate marked return route. Freestyle features and off-piste terrain are separate from beginner piste planning.
Planning your arrival: Specify Hemsedal village, the ski-centre lodge or a cabin address. A stop on the valley road may still need an uphill taxi.
