About skiing in Hinterstoder
Hinterstoder’s Höss ski area rises above a valley village with its own cableway base. The railway station carrying the same name is at Sankt Pankraz, well outside the village. That final connection matters as much as the main train. Choose a hotel, ski-school meeting point and rental near the intended base, then check the mountain map for the day’s open circuit.

Piste difficulty: Introductory facilities and intermediate skiing coexist with demanding marked runs. The race-associated terrain is not a beginner default. Check suitable return pistes and upper lift operation before a long outing.
Planning your arrival: Hinterstoder railway station is about 15 km from the village. Arrange bus 431 or pickup to the Hössbahn base or accommodation.
