About skiing in Ischgl
Ischgl offers 239 km of pistes across the ischgl–samnaun silvretta arena. Its access points include Idalp and Pardatschgrat, Palinkopf and Velill, Samnaun cross-border sector. Choose a base that fits your accommodation and skiing ability; the advertised total may describe a wider connected pass rather than pistes next to your hotel.
Ski areas and terrain
Idalp and Pardatschgrat
Large central access area with lifts from different parts of Ischgl.
Palinkopf and Velill
Higher terrain and longer routes; check lift closing time.
Samnaun cross-border sector
Swiss-side linked pistes, subject to lift opening and the correct pass.
Piste difficulty: The extensive area has blue, red and black pistes. Beginners should start on designated Idalp teaching terrain rather than taking a long return run at the end of the day.
Planning your arrival: Give the driver or booking site your actual Ischgl address; a bus or hotel in Kappl, Mathon or Galtür is not the same destination.
