About skiing in Iso-Syöte

Iso-Syöte is a compact forest-and-fell ski destination with lodging both near the lower base and higher on the mountain. Pikku-Syöte is a separate nearby ski centre. Choosing the correct resort and elevation avoids a wrong airport drop-off and an inconvenient daily journey. Summit accommodation can offer a different setting but adds a mountain road approach.

Ski areas and terrain

Lower ski base

Main starting point for uplift, services and many accommodation options.

Fell slopes

Marked runs through forest and upper terrain.

Summit accommodation

A separate road destination with parking and access considerations.

Piste difficulty: Ski.fi lists two green, five blue, five red and three black graded slopes, alongside three children’s slopes. Select a lesson or rental base before arrival and check which slopes are illuminated on short winter days. Park features require their own skill progression.

Planning your arrival: Give Iso-Syöte lower ski base, a specific cabin or the summit hotel. Pikku-Syöte is a different ski centre, and a highway stop requires onward transport.
