About skiing in Les Deux Alpes

Les Deux Alpes has several distinct access points: Village 1800 and lower slopes, Jandri and mid-mountain, High glacier sector. Seven named ski sectors rising toward the high glacier area. Accommodation location and the lift or local bus you intend to use matter more than a generic resort address. Check the current piste map and which slopes are open before buying a pass.

Ski areas and terrain

Village 1800 and lower slopes

Convenient for first lifts and learning; check which beginner area is open.

Jandri and mid-mountain

The principal uplift toward the high slopes; allow time for the ascent and descent.

High glacier sector

Exposed high terrain up to 3,600 m; visibility and wind can change lift operation.

Piste difficulty: Beginners should stay near the marked learning areas and confirm how to return from high terrain. The long vertical range also gives confident skiers a variety of higher runs.

Planning your arrival: The Oisans road climbs from Bourg-d’Oisans to the resort plateau. Check your accommodation address: central Les Deux Alpes and lower villages such as Mont-de-Lans are different drop-offs.
