About skiing in Luz Ardiden

Luz Ardiden is a mountain ski area above Luz-Saint-Sauveur rather than a resort railway town. A valley hotel adds the daily climb to the pistes. The beginner areas and longer descents offer different options, so coordinate the shuttle arrival with rentals and the chosen ski school.

MARKED PISTESAbout 60 km of alpine pistes across the mountain sectors
ALTITUDEApproximately 1,680–2,500 m; Luz-Saint-Sauveur is a lower valley base

Ski areas and terrain

Aulian

Main mountain-base reference for services and ski access.

Bédéret

A separate sector within the domain; check lift and piste connections.

Luz valley

Accommodation and services below the mountain; plan daily transport.

Piste difficulty: Start on the designated learning terrain and progress to suitable blues. More demanding marked runs and off-piste choices should be considered separately; use a qualified local guide for terrain outside the pistes.

Planning your arrival: Confirm whether the booking ends in Luz town or at Luz Ardiden’s mountain base. Coordinate shuttle arrival, rentals and lessons; a valley stop leaves the mountain climb unfinished.
