About skiing in Mt. Shasta Ski Park
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is reached from Highway 89 and Ski Park Highway near McCloud. The ski lifts are on the volcano’s lower flanks, not at Mount Shasta’s summit. Gray Butte expansion terrain, the main lift areas and the learning zone have different suitability, so choose a meeting point around ability and open lifts. Lodging in Mount Shasta or McCloud needs a daily road connection; a town transfer does not automatically include the ski-park climb. Check the official trail map and lift status before the first morning. Headline totals describe the ski-area inventory rather than the amount guaranteed open on a particular day.
