About skiing in Nakiska

Nakiska is a ski area in Alberta’s Kananaskis Country, reached from Calgary via the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 40. It is separate from the Banff and Lake Louise resorts, and a shuttle ticket to those destinations does not automatically stop here. Lower learning areas and groomed mountain trails make it useful for progression, with intermediate runs prominent in the official difficulty mix. Accommodation may be in Kananaskis Village or farther away rather than beside a pedestrian ski village. Check how you will move between lodging and the base if travelling without a car. Confirm lesson pickup, winter road conditions and any applicable provincial day-use parking pass before a rental-car trip.
