About skiing in Poiana Brașov
Poiana Brașov is a mountain resort above Brașov, with downhill skiing on the Postăvaru slopes. The city railway station is not in the resort; visitors arriving by rail need a bus or road climb. The ski map contains long mountain runs and separate learning slopes, so decide on the lesson base before arranging the hotel arrival. Weather, queues and open lower runs can change the usable skiing during a stay.
Ski areas and terrain
Stadion / Bradul
Lower learning and local skiing choices; confirm the ski-school meeting point.
Postăvaru mountain lifts
Main uphill access is separate from the town’s public bus terminus.
Drumul Roșu / Lupului
Different mountain descents; choose according to ability and open-run information, not simply the length of a run.
Piste difficulty: Stadion is a learning slope; long mountain descents and steeper Lupului terrain need a different ability level. Check the current grade and snow conditions.
Planning your arrival: Poiana Brașov is above Brașov, without a mainline station. From the city, reach Livada Poștei and take RATBV line 20 or reserve a hotel ride. The resort bus terminus can still be away from your hotel or ski-school base.
