About skiing in Saariselkä

Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort uses Kaunispää and Iisakkipää. Its 24-entry inventory includes non-alpine activities, so it should not be presented as 24 conventional downhill pistes. The village, ski base and outlying cabins need different drop-offs.

MARKED PISTES24 listed routes include alpine, park, ski-cross, toboggan and snow-tube entries

Ski areas and terrain

Kaunispää

One of the two fell sectors; check the chosen lift and descent.

Iisakkipää

Separate sector with marked skiing and park choices.

Village / ski base

Airport-coach arrival may need the dated ski bus or a reserved local ride.

Piste difficulty: Very easy learning routes and longer easy descents suit progression. The FIS slope and steeper expert routes require more confidence; toboggan tracks, parks and ski-cross courses are distinct activities.

Planning your arrival: A village coach arrival does not automatically reach the downhill base. Confirm the hotel stop, cabin pin and the separate ski-school meeting point.
