About skiing in Salla
Salla’s alpine base is at Sallatunturi, outside Salla town. Slopes, cabins and holiday accommodation cluster around the ski area, but an arrival in town still leaves a road connection. The quieter layout can suit a stay focused on lessons and outdoor activities. Cross-country tracks and wilderness trips are separate products and should not be counted as downhill pistes.

Piste difficulty: The official description includes a family learning slope near the front piste as well as more demanding terrain and a snowboard park. Beginners should confirm their meeting point and suitable lifts; conditions outside prepared terrain require different skills.
