About skiing in Sölden
Sölden offers 147 km of pistes in the current official ski-area description. Its access points include Giggijoch, Gaislachkogl, Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers. Choose a base that fits your accommodation and skiing ability; the advertised total may describe a wider connected pass rather than pistes next to your hotel.
Ski areas and terrain
Giggijoch
Convenient from the upper village lift and learning areas.
Gaislachkogl
Separate valley gondola with links higher into the domain.
Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers
High glacier skiing, where wind and seasonal lift status matter.
Piste difficulty: Beginner-friendly runs exist, but the high-altitude glaciers and steeper descents require care. Check the correct return lift to your side of town.
Planning your arrival: Do not book a ticket only to Ötztal-Bahnhof and assume it reaches your Sölden accommodation. Specify the lift-side neighbourhood for a private pickup.
