About skiing in Sundance
Sundance sits above Provo Canyon beneath Mount Timpanogos. It offers a more compact base experience than the large northern Utah resorts, but a lower-mountain lesson and an upper-mountain ski day still require different planning. The winter road to the resort remains distinct from the seasonally closed Alpine Loop beyond it. Choose lodging and rental collection around your planned first-day terrain. Review the official trail map and open lifts before setting a meeting point; published totals describe the resort inventory rather than guaranteed daily availability.
Ski areas and terrain
Lower mountain
Arrival, lessons and progression.
Main lift network
Groomed routes and connections to higher sectors.
Upper mountain
More demanding choices, subject to lift and weather conditions.
Piste difficulty: Lower progression routes and steeper upper terrain require different ability levels. Nordic trails are a separate network.
Planning your arrival: This route map ends at Sundance resort base. Give the actual lodging, rental or lesson meeting address; a valley-town stop may require a separate local ride.
