About skiing in Tatranská Lomnica
Tatranská Lomnica is a High Tatra village with skiing toward Skalnaté Pleso and Lomnické sedlo. The high mountain lift reaches a different elevation from the village station, and wind can affect the upper operation. Lomnický štít is a separate sightseeing summit, not the top of a normal marked ski run. Book the arrival to the village or hotel first, then check the slope and cableway status for the ski day.
Ski areas and terrain
Village learning slopes
Confirm the lesson point and lower cableway base; the station is not every hotel’s front door.
Skalnaté Pleso
A main intermediate mountain hub with weather-dependent uphill access.
Lomnické sedlo
High, steep skiing. Do not confuse it with the separate sightseeing trip to Lomnický štít.
Piste difficulty: Lower learning areas are different from the steep upper terrain. The highest ski sector is an advanced choice; check weather and the operator’s current grading.
Planning your arrival: Tatranská Lomnica station is in the village, separate from some hotels and the lift entrance. Reserve the final local ride when needed and check upper-lift operation separately from your airport arrival.
