About skiing in Val di Fassa

Val di Fassa is a valley region, not one lift-linked resort. Pozza/Pera and Vigo serve Buffaure and Catinaccio approaches, while Canazei and Campitello serve the upper valley and Sellaronda links. This regional guide uses Pozza as a planning base; the separate Canazei guide covers an upper-valley arrival.

ALTITUDEValley bases roughly 1,200–1,500 m; high ski sectors extend above 2,000 m

Ski areas and terrain

Pozza, Buffaure and Ciampac

Linked sectors with different lower lift entrances.

Vigo/Pera and Catinaccio

A separate mountain approach convenient for central-valley lodging.

Upper valley: Canazei and Campitello

Belvedere and Col Rodella provide access toward the Sella circuit.

Piste difficulty: Learning zones, intermediate cruising and demanding pistes are spread across different sectors. Choose the ski school, meeting village and suitable area first. Not every sector is linked by lift, so a wider pass can still require a ski-bus or road connection.

Planning your arrival: This regional guide uses Pozza di Fassa as a planning base. Moena, Vigo, Pozza, Campitello, Canazei and Alba need different final stops and pickup addresses.
