About skiing in Willamette Pass

Willamette Pass is directly on Oregon Highway 58 at milepost 62, southeast of Eugene. It is a mountain day base rather than a large lodging village. The lower learning area and the upper mountain require different first-day plans, while night skiing is a dated operating product rather than a promise of all lifts after dark. A town-origin ski bus can be useful only after the airport connection and its seasonal departure have been confirmed. Check the official trail map and lift status before the first morning. Headline totals describe the ski-area inventory rather than the amount guaranteed open on a particular day.

Ski areas and terrain

Lower base

Lessons, rentals and the main arrival.

Eagle Peak side

Main marked alpine network.

Upper and backside terrain

More demanding choices and lift-dependent returns.

Piste difficulty: Learning routes and groomers coexist with steep terrain; use the current map rather than treating every route as a beginner option.

Planning your arrival: The example map ends at Willamette Pass base lodge. Match the vehicle or final bus stop to your actual accommodation, lesson and rental collection; another base or town address may need an extra local ride.
