About skiing in Åre
Åre is a wider destination containing central Åre, Björnen and the separate Duved/Tegefjäll sector. Central Åre gives access to higher mountain skiing and village services, while other bases provide their own accommodation and teaching facilities. A single resort pass does not create a continuous ski link between all villages. Choose the arrival district and use local transport where required.
Ski areas and terrain
Central Åre
Village-side services and access toward higher terrain.
Björnen
A distinct lodging and teaching base east of the centre.
Duved / Tegefjäll
Separate ski sector west of Åre, reached by road or local transport.
Piste difficulty: The domain covers gentle learning terrain, intermediate cruising and demanding mountain routes. High-area weather can close lifts, and beginners should select a suitable sector rather than treating a summit outing as a default first-day plan.
Planning your arrival: Central Åre, Björnen and hillside properties need different drop-offs. Give the hotel address and arrange the last ride from Åre station if required.
