About skiing in Sun Valley
Sun Valley combines Bald Mountain and the separate Dollar Mountain in Idaho’s Wood River Valley. Bald Mountain offers long vertical descents, groomed cruising and glades, with River Run and Warm Springs as different arrival bases. Dollar Mountain is a distinct smaller mountain associated with progression and freestyle facilities. A Sun Valley Lodge drop-off is therefore not the same as a chairlift entrance on Bald Mountain. The local Mountain Rides network can help connect village, Ketchum and ski bases, while eligible resort guests have additional lodging transport. Choose your lesson mountain before booking the airport pickup and check the final bus stop. Bald Mountain terrain figures should not be applied to Dollar or interpreted as current open-trail totals.
